Introduction

Welcome to the Department of Planning and Environment's development assessment tracking system.

This tracking system allows you to:

  • find out information on development proposals which are currently being assessed by the Department
  • make submissions on development proposals which are on exhibition (Please note: if you are lodging a submission electronically and wish your name and address to be withheld, please DO NOT include your personal details in the PDF documents you submit).
  • find out about determinations (i.e. approvals and refusals) by the Minister for Planning, Planning Assessment Commission (PAC) or the Department.

Applications in the tracking system fall under the following categories:

  • State Significant Development (SSD)
  • State Significant Infrastructure (SSI)
  • Transitional Major Projects (former Part 3A of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (EP&A Act) (now repealed but some existing applications under this assessment regime)
  • Other development assessed under Part 4 EP&A Act (including advertising signage and developments in the ski resort areas of the Snowy Mountains)
  • Modifications to approvals of the above.

The applications listed in the tracking system are at various stages of assessment. For instance, some are at an early stage of assessment and only preliminary documents have been lodged. The publishing of these documents allows community members to be aware of a proposal at this early stage before it is formally placed on exhibition for public comment.

The Department recommends use of the search function at the bottom left-hand corner of the page, to find out information about specific development proposals.
